At this year’s retreat, you’ll step into the rare and thrilling world of the Shaolin Nine Section Whip—a weapon that embodies both chaos and control, softness and steel.
Flexible, fast, and fearsome, the whip challenges you to move with awareness, precision, and flow. In the hands of a Shaolin warrior, it is not brute force but refined timing, sensitivity, and spirit that bring the whip to life.
Under the expert guidance of Shifu Yan Xin, you’ll learn how to generate power through relaxation and redirection, how to move with the rhythm of energy rather than against it, and how to transform unpredictability into mastery.

Retreat Flow & Rhythm
The retreat unfolds over five thoughtfully curated days, balancing structured Shaolin training with rest, reflection, and connection with nature.
Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome
From 16:30 | Arrivals and settling in
18:30 | Welcome dinner
20:00 | Gentle Shaolin stretch and evening meditation
Days 2 & 3 – Deep Training Days
Each day begins at dawn with a morning run, followed by Shaolin Qi Gong, stretching, breathing, and foundational practice (Ji Ben Gong).
Late mornings explore Shaolin Soft Fist, while afternoons are dedicated to the dynamic Nine Section Whip.
Evenings invite quiet integration through meditation, tea chats, and stillness.
Day 4 – Culmination & Celebration
Refine your practice, receive your certification, and close the day in celebration around the fire—with music, stories, and community.
